The Programs
Two to Three Year-Old Program
To be enrolled in the 2-3 year-old program, children are required to turn three years of age by 30th of June in the year of entry.
Four to Five Year-Old Program
To be enrolled in the 4-5 year-old program, children are required to turn four years of age by 30th of April in the year of entry. Children cannot be enrolled in an additional 4 -Year-Old Victorian Government Funded Kindergarten Program at another centre.
Attendance Options
There are three attendance options available:
- Two days: Tuesday and Thursday
- Three days: Monday, Wednesday and Friday
- Five days: Monday - Friday
Half-day enrolment is not available.
Hours of Operation
The ELC’s hours of operation are 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, 48 weeks per year.

Enrolment Procedures
Waiting List
The 2021 Waiting List will open from 2nd March - 31st May 2020.
The Waiting List Application attracts a $50.00 non-refundable processing and administration fee.
Offer of Place
Offers of Place are forwarded to each successful applicant between August and September of the year prior to entry.
Priority of Entry
The University of Melbourne reserves the right to consider the following priorities:
- Currently enrolled children
- Staff and students of The University of Melbourne
- Affiliation to the University of Melbourne (i.e. employed by University of Melbourne partner)
- Siblings of currently and previously enrolled children
- New families
If you are submitting an application as a current employee, student or affiliate of The University of Melbourne, please attach relevant documentation/proof. i.e. current staff/student card; letter of acceptance/employment from faculty/department.
